Geddes W. Hanson Lectureship

The Geddes W. Hanson Lectureship is held in honor of Dr. Geddes Whitney Hanson, Charlotte W. Newcombe Professor of Congregational Ministry Emeritus. The lectureship’s objective is to bring to campus pastors, scholars, and others whose service to the church is focused on the ministry of African American congregations or other racial-ethnic minority communities. The Office of the President, the Association of Black Seminarians, and the Betsey Stockton Center for Black Church Studies collaborate on this event. The lectureship began in 2002.
